Once a farm worker’s cottage, Gablebach has been restored with antiques, reclaimed pieces and a love of things made to last. Its rooms have the individuality of a private home and the quietly attentive touches of a boutique hotel.
Unpack, put the kettle on and let the day loosen its hold. You have somewhere beautiful to be, and no need to make an occasion of it.

There is a particular pleasure in spending time with someone who knows you well. A conversation over breakfast. A shared glance across the room. The comfortable silence of an afternoon with nowhere else to be.
One of you might settle into a book while the other takes a long soak. Later, there is supper at the antique table, a record to put on and another log for the fire. Spend the day side by side, or follow your own small pleasures and meet again when you feel like it.
Beautifully layered bedrooms make bedtime something to look forward to. And a separate bed gives you the freedom to sleep in the way that suits you both—sharing a bed, or enjoying a little more space for the night. Your comfort sets the pace.
Bring the dog, too. A walk together, a little fresh air and a contented companion at your feet can be all the plans you need.

Gablebach’s outdoor bath house is set beneath old stone walls and timber beams, in the shadow of the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons), offering a quiet place to slow down, switch off and soak in the moment.
Whether it’s candlelit evenings, a morning coffee or a good book after a day in the hills, it’s a space guests remember long after they leave.

Head out into the Welsh countryside with the dog, or make yourselves comfortable and stay exactly where you are. At Gablebach, a day spent doing very little can feel wonderfully full.

When can we check in and out?
Check-in is from 4pm and check-out is by 10am. Late arrival and self-check-in are available.
Can we arrange a later checkout at Gablebach
Yes – enjoy a leisurely morning with a late checkout at 12pm for an additional £38. Simply select the late checkout option when booking your stay.
What little luxuries are included in a stay at Gablebach?
Enjoy a boutique luxury experience with the privacy and comfort of your own cottage. a home-baked cake, chocolates, bathrobes and slippers add a little indulgence to every stay, and we usually include fresh flowers throughout spring and summer as an extra special welcome.
Can I arrange a meal on arrival?
Yes – settle straight into your stay with an evening meal,cheeseboard or charcuterie board arranged for your arrival. it’s a lovely way to unwind after your journey, especially if you’re arriving late. Please order at least 48 hours before arrival and let us know your expected arrival time, particularly if you’re ordering a hot meal. Contact us to discuss options, dietary requirements and prices
Can the Bath House be used all year round?
Yes – our enclosed bath house can be enjoyed all year round, offering a lovely private space to relax and unwind whatever the season.
Can we bring a dog?
Yes. One dog is welcome free of charge. Dogs must be at least one year old and must never be left unattended.
What if I need help lighting the log burner?
Just ask. We’re happy to show you hw it works and help you get the fire going. We’ll even light it for you ready for your arrival!
Is firewood included
Yes.We always leave a full basket of firewood and kindling ready for a cosy evening beside the log burner. There is no extra cost!
